It's not your Star Wars massive budget movie, but has some really talented actors and actresses. It's a scary thriller and not a gory blood bath mutilation type film.
The cinematography crew did a terrific job making the story come alive.

But this one is great! It combines today's tech with a classic scary horror story. The plot and action build to a bunch of jump-out-of-your-seat moments that took me by surprise. Great believable cast, including Kevin Pollack, who plays a truly evil sinister role. The fact that it is based on true events, and was filmed at the very haunted building where the story took place, makes it even more creepy. Not sure you want the little kids to see this, at least not at night just before bed. But I'll be watching this again.
This movie was shot entirely on location at the historic Preston Castle and the Jackson Rancheria. In addition to the Hollywood stars, there were tons of local cast and crew on the production! All the child actors were local to the Sacramento area. The budget for this film was designated as Ultra Low Budget, so don't expect lots of high tech effects. For a lot of the cast and crew, this was one of their first motion picture experiences. For those who like horror movies without overt gore, this is a fun movie to watch.

I saw your other post, and I'm not convinced that this isn't just a living, breathing person back there. level 2 When I first saw this picture, all I could see was a silhouette that had a skull face or a gas mask. It's hard to see but I have a pretty good eye for this because I used to Ghost Hunt pretty often. level 2. Thats funny! If you put the phone further away from you its easier to see level 2 Yes, we all see that, but I'm not fully convinced that it's what OP thinks it is. I think it's either a living, breathing person trying to pose for a scary photo, or it's one of those apps that places fake ghosts into photos. It just doesn't have a "ghostly" appearance.

I really sympathized with the family but at the same time, I felt sorry for those who got fired because of them. I find it really difficult to categorize the movie. This movie is a combination of romance, horror, comedy, and drama. I still don't get the ending of the movie. Did the son buy the house or did he plan to buy it? What happened to the son's girlfriend who was her tutor? what happened to her is she still in love with him.
